New-Age Vampirism. Really?

This is bound to be a rather unpopular question as this is sort of the "in" thing right now with a lot of people, so I apologize in advance to any who Truly believe in that stuff. This is only my personal opinion and Im only testing to see what others opinions on the matter are. If you have a late puberty, there isn't exactly anything you can do but wait. If it bothers you, think of a response for when someone comments on you. In cases when you are given unpleasant nicknames, do something to make your friends call you that in affection rather then derision. One of my friends was given a ridiculous nickname but he made a cartoon character out of it and put cartoon mini videos on YouTube and Facebook. It might help you to try something like that. Most dangerous neighborhoods in Minneapolis?

I wouldn't label any neighborhood in Minneapolis as "dangerous." The poorer neighborhoods have certain blocks or intersections where there are issues but every neighborhood has good areas with caring residents. I live in a historically lower-income neighborhood in Powderhorn (although rapidly improving) and I've never felt unsafe anywhere around here at night. Last time I checked Minneapolis was in the single digits for murders in 2009. In my opinion it is VERY SAFE here.

Wii remote acting dead?

So today I got a new game (tomb raider: Underworld) for my wii. I had played another game a few hours ago for about 45 minutes. And when I got to the part where you first start actually shooting people my wii remote would act like it was dying and start blinking, my person would continue to shoot, then it said that I needed to connect my remote to the wii. I thought it was dying so I pressed the home on to check my battery level, and it said it was fully charged, which I knew was not true. So I then switched over to my other remote that was charged, and it did the same thing. I then put in another game and the remote acted normal. Any ideas on what might be the problem or how to fix it? Thanks

I guess I would answer your question by saying that the Favre hype is most likely 95% because of the retirement speculation. They also focus on him because of all of the records he's obtained this year. Though you do make a very valid point in saying that the rest of the team does not get that extent of publicized respect. I think this is Favres last year and next year when Rodgers does take over the team will get that recognition, but I don't think any of the players mind taking a step back for favre.

I am just curious how much baby equipment you have, and what yall do with the items from the previous child. My oldest daughter Avery is 3, so we got everything new and girly for her, and then when she was 13 months old we had her sister Madison, since Avery was still using most of the items, we bought more, another swing, another playpen, etc. Well this compiled with the items that we had from our 5 year old son, carseat, playpen, swing, hichchair, etc. So now that we have 12 day old twins, we once again purchased some more key necessities, car seats, and were given a swing and a pack n'play for twins, and two bouncers as gifts. What do you do with all of these products? Do yall use them in different parts of the house, send them to the grandparents, sell them, give to friends, etc. I hate to get rid of good products all of which are less than 5 years old, so what should I do with them? Ripping songs from a CD?

I have an old data CD that had a recording of a commercial my company did 5 years ago. It was saved as a cda file. I want to be able to save it as a mp3 or wav file. I saw an Answers post about that same thing, and the chosen answer was to "rip" it from the cd to Windows Media Player. Still hurting over miscarriage after 2 years?

Two years ago I had a miscarriage and it still hurts me like it was just yesterday.I feel like I don't understand life anymore.There are child molesters and murderers out there living their life & they won't die till their 100!But my precious angel who had never done nothing wrong in her entire life never got the chance to even have her first breath?! There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about her. Child tax exemptions problems. Please help!!!?

Being unable to find a lawyer I ended up with a divorce where it says that I am a custodial parent but my ex will claim our child as dependent every year. No odds or evens. We divorced since December 2008. He does not let me even claim our son as a qualifying child who is not my dependent threatening to take me to court or pay what I'll get from tax return to him. This year he demands me to sign a form 8332 saying that I have to follow the divorce decree. But he, himself is breaking these rules constantly. Could anyone tell me please, if I refuse to sign this form, would he be able to claim our son as his dependent anyway and what should I do in this case? We'll he take me to court for refusing? I think when you come out of high school, you will be very successful with the schedule you have put together. I think you have legitimate shots at all of the schools (none of them are a shoo in though). With that being said, UMD is not a safety for anyone. It is probably one the most competitive and selective public universities in the U.S. There are few reasons, one being due to its convenient location near Washington D.C and the internship/job opportunities. I had a 3.94 and a 4.5 weighted GPA and was rejected by UMD, and I wasn't alone. UMD seems to reject even some of the kids with very good statistics. My friend who got a full ride to MIT also got rejected by UMD, just to give you an idea of how outrageously competitive UMD is.

Problem with Adobe premiere pro 4 or the codecs!?

I have been trying now for a while to play movie with .avi extension which encoded in divx mpeg-4 on Adobe premiere pro4.I have downloaded and tried a few divx codecs and they seem to work when I play movie on wma.When I play movie in premiere sound gets way ahead of the time and the video doesn't work that well either.I know that problem probably is with codecs and not the software but i cant seem to find the right one.So does anyone had this problem with premiere or if you didnt what codecs did you use? Did you put the Twain_32.dll file into the right folder? I think it goes into the C:\Windows\System32 folder but you need to make sure of this. Once it's there it should work. The only thing that solved it at the time was when my peditrican prescribed me birth control pills. Birth control has been used for years to help females with their cycles. They can shorten your cycle, regulate it, decrease the cramps, and much more. I don't know your age, but you may want to talk with your guardian and especially your doctor. No doctor with any ethics will give you a hysterectomy just because you can't deal with your cramps; and besides, you may want children one day. Tying your tubes won't help either...you'll still have your cycle. But the birth control has really helped me. (Side note, I was 12 when placed on the birth control pills).

I'm moving to do my Teaching istantship in a university there I'm worried about the living style. I'm used to modern cities and metropolitans and i'm worried I wouldn't enjoy my time in Indiana and I won't get adapted easily. What do you think?should I reconsider? I'm 26 and single.

Good parts for building an AR-15?

The lowest price ive seen on a complete lower is from stag arms ($290) are they any good? Ipod nano (3rd Gen.) problem?

Ok, so I got it about 2 or 3 days ago, and I was busting my trying to figure out how to put videos and stuff on it in time for my trip, and I managed to get enough. I made sure the battery was full. But not even an hour into it, my ipod started messing up! I was watching a comedy central podcast that I got from itunes, and after I watched a few, I went to cover flow. All of the pictures were gone and when I tried to play a song and they didn't play. Then I went back to cover flow, and all the pics had a burgundy color with these pixel-looking things like a whole bunch of particles in each square. Later I took it out and saw that the screen was blank, and no matter what I did nothing happened. A couple of hours later I saw that the battery was really low and tried it again. Now it works! I was wondering what the problem was, and if I should return it because it could happen again.

Gall Bladder and Itching?

I am a 27 year old female. I was just informed after a HIDA scan that my gall bladder function is 10%, and I have an appointment with surgeon in a couple of days. This wait was ok'd by my doctor. Today my parents informed me that they were now going to sleep in different rooms. From what I can see, there's been some stress in the relationship and they've been arguing. They also told me that they were going to go to therapy again. I'd had no idea about all this until they told me. Are these signs of an impending divorce? eww. i hate people that carry around those fabric binders. theyre huge and bulky. i carry a 1-inch binder. notebooks. i like 5 star notebooks. for math i have a 5 subject. lasted me 1 and a third of the school year for algebra 2. calculator. just buy a graphing calculator off of ebay. its cheaper and it might come in handy depending on how far you want to go in math. pencil(2). eraser. pen(2). highlighter. white out might be nice but then people will jack it from you. same with lead and extra utensils. :P oh and dont forget the line paper and subject dividers. have fun in 8th grade. :)

okay im having my second c section in late september and it will be 2 in eleven months so no chance of VBAC lol my babies are close in age...but i was wondering. afterwards do u have the incredible bleeding and fluid drainage for weeks with a sceduled one? since ur not dialated or technically even in labor how does all of that work?

New Yorkers and car seats???

I don't live in NYC but we visit there sometimes with our kids (and we sometimes take public transportation with the kids in our own area, as well). On the subway or bus, you wouldn't bring a carseat. In a cab, we, at least, would bring the carseat. It's easy for infants if they have those carriers that are both carseats and things that snap into the strollers.

What are some nice things to do for your boyfriend?

My boyfriend has been real attentive and loving recently. He has brought me flowers twice within a two week span, takes me for walks in the park, makes the bed and takes me out to eat. He likes music, sweets (like cakes, cookies, brownies) and he's not big on alcohol. Why do we have to have PowerSchool?

OK. I'm in 7th grade and get straight A's on my report cards and interim reports.I participate in cross country and several academic extracurriculars including Mathcounts and Science Olympiad. However like all middle schoolers, I do get bad grades on tests and projects occasionally(I ALWAYS turn in my homework on time). However, now my parents have constant access to my grades. I used to be ale to not study for ANY tests but now they know about all of them and I have to study for ALL of them. If I don't and get anything worse then a 90% then I get yelled at. My parents used to be much more lenient: It used to be if I missed a few points on homework for some incorrect answer, they'd be OK with it. Now with their constant access, they call it "laziness" and doing just enough to get a 93%(to get a regular A). This is because the school added a dreaded software called "PowerSchool". It gives parents 24/7 access to grades, ignments, and tardies(they were all over me when I got a tardy in gym). Why can't we just have PowerSchool for the kids who have bad grades? Can't we deny parents' access if the kid is maintaining straight A's? And just to kids: Do you think the Powerschool designer hates children?

Depends on the stadium. Usually the really good seats are checked at the top of the aisle. But to buy a nosebleed and move down is pretty common. Sit in the seat you bought and look for some empty seats - while the game is being played- and just act like you belong. It's worth a try. I do it all the time. as a reader, I have no problem with language as long as it is not over-used. I would think that the faculty would not be happy to use their real names and, as a teacher, I would not be happy with that. I would make the whole thing fiction, including the school. Change all names but base them on real people. Also, on the language front, if you are writing for a younger reader then i wouldn't use it.

I am a strong writer; i am going into AP english next year as a junior. Regarding the SATs, I always do incredibly well in the writing section, and slightly worse in the reading comprehension and math sections. I love writing yet I'm not into reading the clics, so i definitely do not see myself being an english teacher in the future. My mom would really like me to go into speech pathology, but I am not exactly sure what a job like that entails. My cat is very sick. What else can I do?

My cat Grae (who is my baby) is about 14 years old. Until about 5months ago he acted like a young cat. He had a surgery to remove bladder stones and has been sick ever since. He first had pancreatitis, that was awful. This became a little better and it is stabilized with pancreatic enzyme pills daily. He has had hyperthyroid for years and it was fine, now it keeps getting worse and his tapazole dosage is much higher. He now has kidney stones, irritable bowel syndrome and feline hepatitis. He is super skinny, urinates all of the time and is super hungry. The vet says that there is not much we can do but try to make him comfortable. He is on a high dosage of Prednisone, Tapazole, Raglen (for vomiting) and pancreatic enzymes. Has anyone else experienced this? What else could I do for him? He was tested for lymphoma and was negative. Bladder cancer was not ruled out by biopsy yet, but vet doesn't think I should get that tested.
