New-Age Vampirism. Really?

This is bound to be a rather unpopular question as this is sort of the "in" thing right now with a lot of people, so I apologize in advance to any who Truly believe in that stuff. This is only my personal opinion and Im only testing to see what others opinions on the matter are. I believe in vampires, I want to get that out of the way I belive in the Original stylings of vampires. But I don't buy into this new modern explanation of vampires, with the whole sanguine and psy-vampires and the pranic energy stuff. To me this is a dangerous new cult that threatans to turn the gullible youth into gothic weirdoes doing unhealthy things for unhealthy reasons. What they call pranic energy is nothing more that chi and if they studied meditation techniques and eastern philosophy they would understand a little more about it and how to aquire it without building a new religion that calls itself vampirism. I would like to see some other peoples opinions on this subject. No hatefull comments please.
