Is there such thing as modern-day steampunk?

Steampunk is a relatively new genre that combines bygone charm with future technology. Think: "What if the future happened earlier." Victoriana isn't the hard part, and Steampunk isn't strictly limited to that anyway. Disney's Treasure Planet and Wild, Wild, West are considered quite Steampunk as a starting point.
