Did he really fall out of love with me?

So my boyfriend and I were together for 11 months, and 2 weeks ago he broke up with me. When we were in the relationship he said "i love you" first about 2 months into the relationship and he would say it everyday even though i wouldnt tell him that i was in love with him. I eventually told him that i loved him around our 4th month and we embraced our love every day after that. We were completely happy (so i thought) and then out of the clear blue sky he broke up with me. He said that for the past few weeks he had not been "into the relationship" and he realized that he doesnt love me the same way that he used too. He said that he continued the relationship because he hoped that the feelings would come back and he didnt just want to act out on his first feeling of unhappiness. We went on a 2 week break to see if those feelings came back, and he said that they didnt. He still keeps my picture as his cellphone wallpaper and he keeps my bracelet i made him on his stick-shift. I asked him why he does this and he said "Cause i want to remember you". I just want to know how he could suddenly just fall out of love with me, and if thats truly even possible. I mean isnt love supposed to be unconditional? I still love him the same as i did the first did i said it, and it kills me to know he fell out of love with me. I know and he also told me that i was an "amazing girlfriend" and it was nothing that i did personally, and i just feel like maybe he thinks the gr is greener, but later on in life he'll realize i was the girl that truly loved him and he let me go. Please can someone give me some words of wisdom!
